San Diego Pagan Pride is almost here!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone again this year, on September 15th. We've got lots of great workshops, vendors and entertainment lined up, so you won't want to miss it!

San Diego Pagan Pride (SDPP) is a non-profit organization that is run completely by volunteers and depends on donations and fundraisers to produce the event each year. If you have ever been to SDPP, you know that one of our largest fundraisers is the door prize drawing on the day of the event. We have so many gifted and generous businesses and individuals in our community that contribute each year and we are very grateful to all of them.

So now is the time for the call for donations to the door prize drawing! We'd love to see our tables overflowing with beautiful things and then see them go to new and loving homes. If you or your group would like to contribute to the door prize drawing, please contact Valera at valera(at)thevillagewitch.org or call 619-255-5776. She can help you arrange to drop your item off at the collection place. It is easiest for us if we have the bulk of the items before the day of the event because we have to fill out all of the identification tags for them and it's difficult to do that on a busy day.

We thank all of you in advance for your generous donations and know that the proceeds will go to producing next year's event.

Basilon CD goes WorldWide!

So, after Linda's tremendous job singing "Jemillah" at Ridgecrest, I just couldn't get enough, so at my regular gig at the Jaffa Cafe (every Friday, 5-7, 1212 Higuera, for those of you in the SLOtown area), I played Jemilleh off the Basilon CD and did a veil dance.
One of the other dancers, Marti, who teaches up in Paso, LOVED that song, and Uskudar as well! She is thinking of teaching a zill class to Uskudar!
So, in the interest of pimping my favorite band's CD, I gave her one and told her that if any of her students want to buy the CD, they could contact me or Basilondrums.com.

Here's to a huge increase in CD sales!!!

PS, I'm going to need a new one for myself, so don't let me forget to get a new one from you!

Last call for Escondido Faire April 1-2,8&9

Have not heard from many of you... Any interest in participating in the upcoming Escondido Renaissance Faire-for free PLEASE let me know asap! Gatelist goes in on Monday.
The Faire is on April1-2, and 8-9. You dont have to do both faires. One would be good.

If you decide to come and the gatelist has already been submitted, you can still participate, the cost is $5.00, but I would still need to know beforehand.

Oasis needs you!

Hi- It's that time again, the new Faire season is almost here. Basilon is again hosting "The Oasis" at several Renaissance Faires this year, the first being the Escondido Faire in April.( 2 weekends) The Oasis is a performance/chill area adjacent to our musical instrument booth where dancers/drummers/musicians can gather to perform and hang out. Luna has had puppies!

To make a long story short, Luna didnt' need an operation to remove an infected uterus. She was mis-diagnosed, and was actually VERY pregnant.. with 7 puppies. I won't bore you with the details of the hastle with the vet, but all the puppies were born perfectly healthy, and are fast approaching the day when they can be adopted out.
I know many people at fair expressed an interest in receiving puppies from Luna.

Luna needs an operation

Our wolf, Luna, whom many of you know, has an advanced infection in her uterus. the surgery is going to run between $1500-$2500. We cannot afford this. So we are asking that if any one has a few dollars to spare, please think of Luna.
